Membership of UKHV will benefit your business and clients by giving independent Authorisation, Assessment and Assurance Services for you and your business across the UK.

If you would like to register with the UKHV – UK High Voltage we will appoint you as appropriate to the following categories.

The purpose of registration will assist in clients and employers reducing the cost of appointment and authorisation processes. You will be assessed for competence independently, and gain access to annual audits with independent assurance of your ability to work within your safe system of work.

The UK High Voltage Association is committed to only accepting individuals and organisations who can show there commitment to improving and maintaining industry standards.

Membership Categories:

Individual Member – Competent Person
An individual who has been assessed by the UKHVA as meeting the requirements of a Competent Person who may be appointed to receive safety documents or work under safety document recipients.

Individual Member – Authorised Person
An individual who has been assessed by the UKHVA as meeting the requirements to hold appointment as an Authorised Person

Individual Member – Senior Authorised Person
An individual who has been assessed by the UKHVA as meeting the requirements to hold appointment as a Senior Authorised Person

Corporate Member:

Installation Organisations
Companies or organisations who can demonstrate competence in installation services to industry standards

Maintenance Organisations
Companies or organisations who can demonstrate competence in maintenance services to industry standards

Emergency Organisations
Companies or organisations who can demonstrate competence in responding to emergency situations or abnormal events to industry standards

Continuing Obligations

Continually support and commit to the UKHV principals
Share and promote best practice and guidance in order to continually raise standards
Remain compliant with UKHV policies, guidance and rules.
